Il y a beaucoup de randonnée à faire. La commune se visite à pied ou à vélo. Non loin de la plage, à partir du cimetière, les marcheurs peuvent trouver l’excuse d’une balade sympa, sans grande difficulté, tant le chemin qui emprunte les 8 km du littoral entre Port-Louis et Anse-Bertrand est magnifique. Cette balade dure 1h30 entre mer et mangrove.
On peut visiter Beauport l’ancienne usine de canne à sucre.
La Plage du Souffleur est l’une des plus belles plage de l’île. Au bout de cette large bande de sable blanc se trouve le cimetière, abritant des tombes creusées dans du sable et entourées de conques de lambis ou simplement bordées de feuilles de zinc.
Le marais du nord de Port-Louis est une vaste zone de mangrove, de plans d’eau, de vasières et prairies humides, ils peuvent être visités grâce à un sentier aménagé à l’Est du cimetière. Situé dans une savane longeant la mer, le parcours est ponctué par différentes étapes : le marais tremblant, la liane du chat, le chemin de Casse Moustache, le marais rocheux.
