What is the difference between an availability request and a booking request ?

When a potential guest makes an avalability request, he is simply asking whether your accommodation is available before booking. If you reply favorably, there is a good chance this guest will send in a booking request afterwards. However, even if you accept, an avalability reques is in no way a confirmed booking, and does not commit you to anything. The guest has not paid and no contract has been drawn up yet.

If the guest proceeds with the payment of the booking, you will receive a booking request. By accepting this booking request, you commit to welcoming the guests and you cannot cancel without a valid reason because a booking contract has been drawn up and must be respected by both parties.
